Alexandra Eala wins Birmingham Open for second career WTA 125 title

London, June 8 (UNI) Alexandra Eala won her second WTA 125 title with victory over doubles partner Nikola Bartunkova in the Birmingham Open final.
Eala had to go the distance against the fifth-seeded Bartunkova on Sunday, coming back from a set down to prevail 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 for her first triumph since winning the Guadalajara Open last year, which is also a 125 event.
The 21-year-old Eala was the top seed here. The world No. 37 from the Philippines dropped only two sets throughout the tournament.

Adams featured in all three of South Africa's group games at the tournament, where they reached the knockout stages before losing to co-hosts Canada in the round of 32, according to BBC Sport.
