Akhilesh Yadav scorns BJP on Chinese imports citing old 'Swadeshi' slogans

Lucknow, Jan 14 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the BJP, saying that the BJP and its allies, after chanting the slogan of 'Swadeshi' (indigenous), have now become 'videshi' (pro-foreign). He said that those who were talking about boycotting imports from China and Chinese goods until yesterday are now openly welcoming them.
Posting on his social media account on Wednesday, Yadav alleged that the BJP's ideological mentors are taking a "master class" on the one-party system from a neighbouring country. He said that the level to which the meetings have progressed makes it clear that preparations for this had been going on for many years. Therefore, all this drama of boycott was merely a ploy to deceive their supporters.
The SP president said that BJP supporters, who were going door-to-door campaigning for the boycott of Chinese goods, are now feeling cheated. He sarcastically remarked that these BJP supporters had forgotten the story of the 'dyed jackal,' whose true colours are revealed in the rain.
