Lucknow, Jun 20 (UNI) Coming down heavily on Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav for what he called as a 'bunch of lies' , Uttar Pradesh Minister and spokesman of state government Siddharth Nath Singh wondered how one could be so ignorant about the pro-farmers measures of Yogi government during the last over four years.
In a sharp reaction to Akhilesh's misplaced statement that Yogi government did nothing for the farmers, Singh reminded him of a slew of steps taken for the welfare of the farmers.
" Why doesn't Akhilesh acknowledge that Yogi, immediately after taking over the reins of Uttar Pradesh, waived off the loans to the tune of Rs 36000 crore which benefitted about 86 lakh marginal farmers," he pointed out in a statement made on Sunday.
