Akhilesh Yadav mocks BJP amid buzz over UP cabinet reshuffle ‎

‎New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday took a swipe at the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh amid speculation over a possible cabinet expansion, alleging that the exercise was aimed more at weakening the Chief Minister’s authority than improving governance. ‎
In a message posted on his WhatsApp channel, the SP president made a sarcastic remark apparently aimed at the BJP’s central leadership, asking, “Has the slip from Delhi arrived yet?” ‎“Heard that a cabinet expansion is happening in Uttar Pradesh — or rather, one could say that the Chief Minister’s powers are being trimmed and curtailed. Someone should at least ask the person whose cabinet it is,” Yadav said, in comments seen as directed at both the state leadership and the BJP high command. ‎
The SP chief also raised the issue of women’s representation, calling for reservation for women in any reshuffle or expansion of the Uttar Pradesh Council of Ministers. ‎“Our demand is that women should be given reservation in the UP cabinet expansion,” he said. ‎
