Akhilesh targets BJP, says weapons-over-knowledge mindset must be kept away from education

Lucknow, Dec 17 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav, in a veiled attack on the BJP government, said that those who consider weapons superior to knowledge should be kept away from schools, universities, and society.
He said that the fundamental purpose of education is to remove uncivilised thinking, but some negative forces want to seize control of educational institutions and crush the open thinking of the new generation.
In a post in social media on Wednesday, Yadav said that there are people active in society who engage in the politics of social division and hatred to maintain their dominance and supremacy. These forces are working against love, harmony, and peace, disrupting the country's progress. He appealed to citizens to distance themselves from people with violent and negative thinking and to also alert their families and society.
