Ajman NuVentures Free Zone achieves strong first-year growth; nearly half new firms Indian

Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) The Ajman NuVentures Centre Free Zone (ANCFZ) of the United Arab Emirates has recorded a strong debut year, successfully registering more than 6,500 companies since its establishment in October 2024, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to attract global investors.
During its first official visit to India, senior representatives of the free zone held interactions with business leaders and the media in Mumbai, revealing that Indian enterprises comprises between 40 and 45 per cent of all new registrations.
The visiting delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer Rishi Somaiya, Operations Director Nasser Al Khanbashi, and Finance Director Mohamed Fathy, provided an overview of the free zone’s growth trajectory and its strategic appeal among Indian businesses seeking international expansion.
The leadership outlined plans to reach a target of 10,000 registered companies by 2026, emphasising the zone’s focus on digital integration and business-friendly policies designed to simplify cross-border operations.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of ANCFZ, commended the zone’s progress and investor response, noting that achieving over 6,500 registrations within a year underscores global confidence in Ajman’s pro-business policies and the success of its digital-first operational model. He added that this performance aligns with the broader goals of Ajman Vision 2030, which prioritises economic diversification and technological innovation.
A key factor behind ANCFZ’s appeal lies in its fully digital business setup process, which allows entrepreneurs to obtain business licences within two hours and complete visa formalities within twenty-four hours. The free zone offers comprehensive administrative support, covering documentation, regulatory approvals, and compliance management, ensuring a seamless experience for investors. These efficiency measures, coupled with personalised customer service, have helped attract entrepreneurs from over 150 nationalities across diverse industries.
Addressing the media on Friday, CEO Rishi Somaiya explained that ANCFZ’s vision is centred on empowering global entrepreneurs through technology-driven, simplified business solutions. He highlighted that the free zone caters especially to the needs of fast-growing Indian enterprises, providing a conducive platform for sectors such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital gaming, and creative industries. The ability to operate up to ten different business activities under a single licence has further enhanced its attractiveness among startups and established firms alike.
Business setup packages begin at 10,800 AED, inclusive of licensing, visa processing, and workspace options tailored to various business scales. The free zone’s strategic location in Ajman ensures efficient connectivity through air, sea, and road networks, offering businesses access to markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Somaiya stated that the free zone’s achievements in its first year reflect only the beginning of its long-term expansion strategy. He reaffirmed that ANCFZ will continue to strengthen its digital infrastructure, investor services, and global partnerships, positioning itself as one of the UAE’s most entrepreneur-friendly and technologically advanced free zones.
