Ajay Kaul assumes charge as Editor-in-Chief of UNI

New Delhi, Jun 23 (UNI) Senior journalist Ajay Kumar Kaul assumed the charge as Editor-in chief of multi-lingual national news agency United News of India on Wednesday.
Mr Kaul assumed the charge at UNI's Head Office in the national capital and was introduced to the leadership team of the agency by Mr Binod Mandal, Director, UNI.
Mr Kaul has over 27 years of experience in the field of journalism, most of which has been with leading news agencies.
He has previously served as Resident Editor of Press Trust of India, Executive Editor of ANI and Managing Editor of IANS.

Mr Sagar Mukhopadhyay, Chairman of the Board of UNI commented that Mr Kaul was the obvious choice amongst the many contenders for the position since his experience encompasses both reporting as well as editorial roles. Besides, he brings along a broad spectrum of journalistic exposure ranging from domestic politics to international affairs.
Earlier, the Board of Directors at UNI announced the appointment of Mr Kaul as Editor-in-Chief of the UNI.
UNI is amongst the two earliest news agencies set-up after Indian independence and had recently announced its ambitious plans to emerge as the fastest growing Indian news agency with a global footprint.
