Aishwarya Rai dazzles at 78th Cannes Film Festival

Cannes, May 22 (UNI) Former Miss World and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a majestic return to the red carpet at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, captivating global audiences with a sartorial statement rooted in tradition and cultural pride.
In a sea of avant-garde gowns and Western silhouettes gracing the red carpet, Aishwarya presented a wonderful amalgamation of Indian culture and fashion.
Aishwarya chose to embrace her heritage with a resplendent ivory Banarasi saree, custom-designed by renowned couturier Manish Malhotra.
The saree, paired with an intricately layered crimson jadau necklace, flowing open tresses and a side-draped dupatta, was elevated by one powerful detail, a bold streak of sindoor (vermillion).
With this, Aishwarya has also put an end to the news of rift in marriage with husband Abhishek.
During this event, she greeted the international audience with hands folded in a traditional 'Namaste', her presence exuding a quiet dignity that transcended fashion.
Since her Cannes debut 2002 for the premiere of her film 'Devdas' Aishwarya has been a consistent and luminous presence at the prestigious festival.
