AIMIM chief demands to abolish 50 pc reservation limit

Hyderabad, Jun 22 (UNI) All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president, Asaduddin Owaisi, on Saturday demanded that the BJP-led central government should bring an amendment in upcoming Lok Sabha session to abolish the cap of 50 per cent on reservation.
Sharing on ‘X’, Owaisi, the Hyderabad MP, said during the elections, (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi used to say that the reservation of OBC, SC,ST communities is under threat from Muslims.
“Today, there is tension between OBC and Maratha communities on reservation because the limit of reservation has been limited to 50 per cent,” he said.
