AIM unveils ‘AI-Preneurs of India’ at IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog on Tuesday launched a book ‘AI-Preneurs of India’ at IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 here.
The book chronicling the journeys of 45 pioneering AI start-ups shaping solutions for real-world challenges, reflects the geographic and thematic diversity of India’s AI innovation landscape, extending far beyond traditional technology hubs.
While launching the book Deepak Bagla, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, said, “ The Prime Minister has consistently articulated a clear vision for Artificial Intelligence, one that is rooted in inclusive growth, ethical deployment, and AI for social good. AI-Preneurs of India is a reflection of that vision in action.”
He said the start-up founders featured in this book are not merely building cutting-edge technologies, "they are developing AI solutions that are grounded in India’s realities and aligned with national priorities."
He added the book showcases India’s path toward leading the global AI discourse through purpose-led innovation and "celebrates these unsung heroes of innovation.”
This book features startups working across more than thirty sector domains, including healthcare, education, sustainability, mobility, sports analytics, deep tech and social impact.
AIM was introduced in 2016 as a flagship government initiative under NITI Aayog aims to promote a culture of innovation nationwide. UNI SAS JRC

After LPG distributors announce suspension of distribution, NRAI asks restaurants to conserve energy

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) After the government invoked Essential Commodities Act on petroleum products, followed by All India LPG distributors announcing temporary suspension of distribution to non-essential consumers including hotels and restaurants, the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI), the pan-India body of organised restaurant chains, has advised its member restaurants to adopt immediate fuel-conservation and operational measures.
