AIADMK, ally PMK condemns WB CM Didi for insulting Prez Murmu

Chennai, Mar 8 (UNI) The Principal Opposition AIADMK in Tamil Nadu and its ally, the PMK faction headed by former union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on Sunday condemned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for insulting President Droupadi Murmu.
In a post on X, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami , heading the NDA in the Tamil Nadu, said any embarrassment, disrespect or procedural lapse to the President at a public event was unacceptable and deeply regettable.
Observing that Constitutional offices are not mere ceremonial symbols and they embody the dignity of our Republic, he also said it was deeply saddening that the President had to publicly express her anguish over such an incident.
