AI platform Cognavi enables global placements for Indian engineers with Rs 42 lakh average package

New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) Cognavi India Pvt. Ltd. has facilitated international placements for 13 engineering students from premier Indian institutes, with an average annual compensation of Rs 42.15 lakh, highlighting the growing role of artificial intelligence in global talent hiring, accordin to a company statement on Monday.
The placements were enabled through the company’s proprietary AI-based “Skill Tree” technology, which maps candidates’ technical capabilities directly to global employer requirements, moving beyond traditional résumé-based screening.
Among the top offers, the highest package stood at Rs 56.27 lakh for a data scientist role, while two students from the Indian Institutes of Technology secured pre-placement offers of Rs 46.78 lakh in technical and product development roles.
The selected candidates have been placed across a wide range of high-value roles, including data science, system engineering, electrical development, application engineering, product development, and design engineering.
These opportunities span sectors such as technology, electronics, and advanced manufacturing, reflecting strong global demand for skilled Indian engineers.
Out of the 13 candidates, 11 are from institutions ranked among the top 100 in India under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), while the remaining two are from IITs. The hiring organizations have not been disclosed due to confidentiality agreements, but are said to be leading global enterprises.
Managing Director and CTO Varun Modgill said the global engineering talent shortage is more about matching skills with demand rather than lack of talent, adding that AI is helping bridge this gap at scale.
The company noted that AI-driven recruitment focuses on real-world technical competencies rather than academic scores or institutional pedigree, improving hiring efficiency and long-term outcomes.
Cognavi, which has a presence across more than 300 engineering colleges in India, is also working closely with institutions to build a strong pipeline for cross-border recruitment.
The platform aims to expand opportunities beyond traditional IT roles and connect Indian engineers with global careers in core engineering and emerging technologies.
Industry experts believe that AI-led hiring platforms are gaining traction among multinational companies, especially in sectors requiring niche engineering expertise, and are likely to play a key role in shaping the future of global recruitment.
