AI lacks emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity and ethical judgement: says Architecture expert

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) Eminent architecture Ar. Shirish Beri, today warned how despite the various advantages, AI lacks emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity and ethical judgement- qualities that are essential in human life as well as in architecture as a human centered discipline. In his speech at the 'One-Day National Conference on AI in Architecture: From Vision to Reality' being organized by the ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch), a constituent of The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, here, Ar Shirish, who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, said AI is a double edged sword where it can be a boon or a bane to the entire mankind.
He concluded with the fact that Responsible or Ethical AI starts with or can happen only with ethical humans.
The event featured an address by AI expert Ar. Sahil Tanveer, who talked about AI not as a replacement for craft but as an amplifier of the architectural students’ voice, their vision, and their role in shaping reality.
