Ahaan Panday to make his dance debut in Ali Abbas Zafar's next film

Mumbai, May 20 (UNI) "Saiyaara" famed actor Ahaan Panday is set to groove his legs for the first time on screen for Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming film.
Panday went viral on the internet with his amazing dance moves at his sister Alana Pandey's wedding. His dance video garnered over 46 million views on YouTube.
Everyone expected Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri to give the 28-year-old actor a chance to dance in his debut film "Saiyaara", but the director surprised everyone by presenting him in a very intense avatar in the film. This film made him an overnight star and a Gen Z sensation as a whole new generation fell in love with his emotional and love-struck lover boy image.
For the past few months, social media has been abuzz with talk of Panday's fans wanting to see him on the big screen as a larger-than-life hero who can sing and dance.
Now, it seems Yash Raj Films is fulfilling this wish with his second project, Zafar's untitled film.
A source said, "For years, Ahaan was only present through glimpses on the internet, but his sister Alana Panday's wedding made him an online phenomenon. His dance video to the song 'I Am the Best', in particular, went viral on Instagram and fan pages. His dance to 'Saat Samundar Paar' with cousin Ananya Panday also took the internet by storm. Fans praised his expressions, timing, and screen presence in the comments section, calling him 'star material,' even before his official debut was announced."
According to the source, a four-day shoot has been planned, which will showcase Panday singing and dancing in the same style the Bollywood fanatics seen big stars do over the years. The song will be shot in Manchester, where much of the action entertainer is being filmed. Yash Raj Films is also expected to finalise a leading choreographer for the number in the coming days.
