Abdullah Azam gets bail, will be released after 16 months

Rampur (UP), Feb 18 (UNI) Former Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Abdullah Azam, who was in jail for the last 16 months, was granted bail by an MP-MLA court here in Rampur on Tuesday, prosecution sources said here.
Sources said that Abdullah, who is currently lodged in Hardoi jail, will be released after filling bail bonds in about 45 cases. He was granted bail by the court of MP-MLA judge Shobhit Bansal in the case of tampering records in the custodian property case.
Abdullah's lawyer, Zubair Ahmed Khan, said that his bail has been approved. "He will be able to come out of jail soon after completing the bail process. Bail bonds will be filled in all the cases of Abdullah Azam, leading to his release," he said.
