AAPSU holds referendum rally, demands immediate deportation of illegal immigrants

Itanagar, June 16 (UNI) The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) on Monday held a massive referendum rally in Itanagar, reiterating its long-standing demand for the identification and deportation of illegal immigrants, particularly members of the Chakma and Hajong communities.
The rally, which commenced from Akashdeep market and culminated at Raj Bhavan, witnessed the participation of hundreds of citizens, including representatives from community-based organizations (CBOs), district students’ unions (DSUs), and members of the public.
The gathering underscored growing public concern over what AAPSU describes as a demographic and constitutional threat to the state’s indigenous identity.
