Aaditya Thackeray calls BCCI "anti-national" ahead of India-Pak match

Mumbai, Sep 14 (UNI) Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray today escalated his criticism of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), calling it “anti-national” ahead of the India-Pakistan Asia Cup match in Dubai.
The Worli MLA questioned whether two points in the tournament were worth more than national sentiment and urged the BCCI to boycott the match even at the last minute. He said the board should “show it belongs to India rather than greed for money.”
Thackeray linked his criticism to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, including 25 tourists and one local Muslim pony operator, and the subsequent Operation Sindoor launched by Indian forces in May. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that “blood and water cannot flow together,” he asked why the cricket match was being allowed so soon after the attacks.
