Aadhaar biometric update drive in Pune vital for students: UIDAI CEO

Pune, Sep 13 (UNI) Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar today visited a mega Mandatory Biometric update (MBU) camp here, reviewing a mission-mode campaign to update Aadhaar cards for school students.
During his visit to a camp at Madhav Sadashiv Golvalkar school, he emphasised the importance of keeping students’ Aadhaar updated to help them in authentication for various exams. He also appreciated the jointly coordinated efforts of the School Education Department, Department of Posts, and UIDAI in conducting the camps.
The CEO's visit came after he gave a talk on Aadhaar Authentication in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector at a workshop for NBFCs organised by the RBI in Pune.
