675 people on Nipah contact list across Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, July 16 (UNI) A total of 675 people across various districts are on the Nipah virus contact list, said Kerala Health Minister Veena George.
Of them, 178 are contacts of the second confirmed Nipah case reported in Palakkad district, the Minister said.
Malappuram has 210 individuals on the contact list, Palakkad has 347, Kozhikode has 115, Ernakulam has 2, and Thrissur has 1 person listed. One person in Malappuram is currently receiving ICU treatment. So far, 82 samples from Malappuram have tested negative for Nipah.
