4 Mumbai college student's bodies recovered from Morbe dam

Raigad (Maharashtra), June 22 (UNI) The bodies of four students from Mumbai's Rizvi College were fished out Saturday morning after they were reported drowned last evening in the Morbe Dam Sai Bandhara near Pokharwadi of Raigad district.
According to Khalapur police, a group of Rizvi College students came for tour and trekking.
However, instead of proceeding with the trek, all went to Morbe Dam Sai Bandhara.
Misjudging the depth of the water, when one of them plunged in and was feared to be drowning, three of his friends followed to rescue him.
All four were drowned, police said, adding, on receiving information they took out search operations but had to stop due to darkness. When resumed this morning, the bodies were recovered with the help of locals.
The deceased were identified as Ishant Yadav (19), Aakash Dharmdas Mane (26), Ranath Mahadu Banda (18) and Eklavya Singh (18).
