31.38 pc polling in first four hours during second phase of Bihar assembly elections

Patna, Nov 11 (UNI) An estimated 31.38 percent electorate exercised their franchise during first four hours in second and final phase of Bihar assembly elections where polling was in progress amid tight security arrangements.
According to office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), an estimated 31.38 percent electorate exercised their franchise in first four hours of the polling. Highest polling percentage was recorded in Kishanganj district where 34.74 percent electorate exercised their franchise while Madhubani witnessed lowest polling percentage of 28.66
West Champaran recorded 32.39 percent polling, East Champaran 31.16 Sheohar 31.58 Sitamarhi 29.81 Supaul 31.69 Araria 31.88, Purnia 32.94, Katihar 30.83 , Bhagalpur 29.08, Banka 32.91, Kaimur 31.98, , Rohtas 29.80, Arwal 31.07, Jahanabad 30.36, Aurangabad 32.88, Gaya 34.07, Nawada 29.02 and Jamui 31.69 percent.

Calcutta HC cancels 1,600 supernumerary teaching posts for upper primary, terms it illegal

Kolkata, Dec 4 (UNI) The Calcutta High Court on Thursday cancelled 1,600 additional or ‘supernumerary’ posts created by the West Bengal government in upper primary teaching posts for vocational and physical education.
The order of cancellation of 1,600 additional posts was passed by the Calcutta high court single bench judge Justice Biswajit Basu.
