2800 new EV buses to join Delhi's fleet, vision of 14000 buses by 2028- 29 gets major boost

New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) The Delhi government has taken a crucial step towards bringing down air pollution, and also strengthening national capital's public transport system, and as per plan 2800 new low- floor electric buses will be added to the transport corporation's fleet under phase- I of the PM e- Drive scheme.
This move is also in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a clean, green and developed India, and a developed national capital.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the Delhi government is expanding its electric bus fleet, as it is working continuously to strengthen public transport.
