2-day renewable energy trade expo ‘ RenewX’ begins in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, April 28 (UNI) The seventh edition of RenewX, a two-day Renewable Energy trade expo organised by : Informa Markets in India (IMI), the leading B2B exhibitions organiser, began at the Hitex Exhibition Center here on Friday.
The expo was inaugurated by a distinguished group of industry experts, including Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited Chairman Y. Sathish Reddy, Renewable Energy Society of India (RESI) Director General Ajay Mishra, Power & Utilities of PwC Director Bhagyathej Reddy , Telangana government Special Chief Secretary ( Energy Dept) Sunil Sharma, IMI Managing Director Yogesh Mudras and TSREDCO Ltd Vice Chairman and Managing Director N. Janaiah.
Speaking at the inauguration, Yogesh Mudras, said, “ India’s renewable energy industry has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, driven by the government's ambitious targets and supportive policies. With abundant natural resources and a talented workforce, India has the potential to become a global leader in renewable energy. South India has been a leader in the adoption of renewable energy sources in India, particularly in the field of solar power. The region has abundant sunshine and a growing demand for electricity, making it an ideal location for solar power plants. RenewX intends to accelerate the growth of the Renewable Energy sector in the South India region and contribute to the country’s sustainable economic development.”
“The expo for this year has put together a range of thought-provoking topics that require attention and discussion. These topics include the significance of innovation and technology, the future of electric vehicles, the potential of AgriPV, Bioenergy, Energy Storage, and Green Hydrogen in transforming India's energy landscape. With this comprehensive and well-rounded selection, we anticipate another successful edition of RenewX.” he added.
The two-day conference comprised panel discussions and presentations on CPCB regulations, EV Hub – Hyderabad, AgriPV, Bioenergy and more.
Some of the key sessions include - Managing Solar Panels Ends-of-life as per CPCB regulations, Innovation & Technology accelerating a Net Zero Economy, Growing Hyderabad as EV Hub: Distance Dream or Immediate Future, Role of Solar, Energy Storage & Green Hydrogen in Energy Transformation of India, Economic and environmental benefits of AgriPV in India, Bio-energy:
The Conference is being well supported by a host of key associations such as Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Ltd (TSREDCO), Indian Biogas Association (IBA), Ease of Doing Business (EODB), NHEV: National Highways for Electric Vehicles, IGEF: Indo German Energy Forum, NSIC: National Small Industries Corporation, ELIAP: Electronic Industries Association of Andhra Pradesh and TELMA( Telangana electronic manufacturing industries association).
The Expo is witnessing over 100 participating exhibitors endeavouring to make a difference in the renewable energy domain of South India, including Jinko Solar, EVVO, ADANI, Longi Solar, EVERVOLT, Greentek Energy, VRM Energy, Growatt, Premier Energies Ltd, Redington, Impulse Green Energy and many more. While Telangana is a partner state, Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited was the Nodal Agency at the show.
