13 ITBP personnel awarded with Police Medals on 79th Independence Day

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) In recognition of their exemplary dedication and service to the nation, a total of 13 Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel have been selected to receive the prestigious Police Medals on the occasion of 79th Independence Day.
Among the awardees, three personnel will be conferred with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, while 10 have been selected for Medal for Meritorious Service.
Those awarded with President’s Medal for Distinguished Service are Sharad Pratap Singh, Inspector General (GD); Awanish, Deputy Inspector General (GD) and Sonki Ram, Assistant Commandant (Armr).
