11,000 carpet weavers trained in Kashmir to boost handmade carpet industry

Srinagar, July 11 (UNI) In a significant step towards strengthening Kashmir’s iconic handmade carpet industry, the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT), Srinagar, under the aegis of the Handicrafts and Handloom Department, has successfully trained around 11,000 carpet weavers across various districts of the Valley.
