108 Ambulance's swift response saves critically injured tourist in Arunachal’s Longding dist

Itanagar, Jan 17 (UNI) In a remarkable display of professionalism and commitment, the 108 Emergency Ambulance service of EMRI Green Health Services provided life-saving pre-hospital care to a critically injured tourist from Assam following a road accident near Wakka in Longding district, on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred at around 4.30 pm when a tourist couple from the neighbouring state was returning from Wakka via Ngissa village road on a motorcycle. According to reports, a speeding vehicle suddenly overtook them on the narrow stretch of road, causing the male rider to panic and lose control of the two-wheeler. As a result, both riders skidded off the road and fell on to a nearby cliff.
At the time the emergency call was received, the 108 ambulance (AR-18-2266, Wakka) team had just completed a high-risk pregnancy case. Earlier, while transferring a pregnant woman from PHC Wakka to District Hospital Longding, the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) had successfully assisted in delivering a baby inside the ambulance after the woman developed severe labour pain en route.
