1 killed, 5 injured in bomb explosion in central Iraq

Baghdad, Feb 14 (UNI) A girl was killed and five others injured in a bomb explosion during a family picnic on Friday in Iraq's central province of Salahuddin, a police source said.
The incident occurred in an open area outside the town of al-Alam when the girl was digging the ground and a buried bomb, believed to be left by Islamic State militants, exploded, Colonel Mohammed al-Obaidi from the provincial police command said.
The explosion killed the girl and seriously wounded her other five family members, al-Obaidi said.
