‘You taught the world courage’: Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar honors Ratna Tamang

New Delhi, Feb 7 (UNI) In a moving moment on MasterChef India, chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar paid tribute to Ratna Tamang, an auditionee and internet sensation whose story has inspired millions.
Hailing from Nepal, Ratna lost both his hands in a tragic accident in 2015. When he first appeared on MasterChef India, he stunned the judges and viewers alike by preparing his dish using specialized adaptive tools, demonstrating remarkable precision and calm despite his circumstances. Returning to the MasterChef kitchen as a guest, Ratna reflected on his journey.
Responding to Brar’s question about how his life had changed since the show, he said, “When the video came out, people were congratulating me, and my followers and subscribers were booming. What happened, how it happened, it all happened after I came here to MasterChef. So, thank you very much.”
The judges were visibly moved. Khanna said, “We bow our heads in front of you because you have not only taught India, but you have taught the entire world about courage.” Brar added, “I am grateful to you because you taught me a very big lesson in life that day.” Ratna Tamang’s journey has become a symbol of resilience and determination, illustrating how challenges can be overcome with courage and perseverance.
