‘What Rivalry!’ Paresh Rawal and bollywood stars react to India-Pakistan match

New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) India’s commanding 61-run victory over Pakistan at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Colombo sparked a flurry of reactions from film celebrities on social media.
Bollywood and South Indian stars, including Ajay Devgn, Paresh Rawal, and Mammootty, shared their thoughts on the highly anticipated, yet one-sided clash.
The match, held at the R Premadasa Stadium, saw India post 175/7, thanks to Ishan Kishan’s explosive 77 off 40 balls. The Indian bowlers then bundled out Pakistan for 114 in just 18 overs, securing a place in the Super Eight stage and extending India’s T20 World Cup record against Pakistan to 8-1.
Following the game, reactions poured in from the film fraternity. Paresh Rawal summed up the match simply: “WHAT RIVALRY !”
Ajay Devgn praised the team’s performance, posting, “This brilliant team makes winning look like a cakewalk. Kya khela hai (What a game)! (Raised hands and national flag emojis).”
Mammootty tweeted, “Congratulations to the Indian Cricket Team on their victory over Pakistan at the ICC Men’s T20WorldCup2026. A proud moment for the nation.”
Meanwhile, Khushbu Sundar celebrated with, “And we win !!!! India at the top, always.”
Ayushmann Khurrana reflected on the one-sided nature of the contest, writing, “Aath Ek! The most anticipated match of the tournament was ironically the most one sided one. IND vs PAK World Cup.”
Filmmaker Kunal Kohli offered a blunt take: “This has to go down in history as the most boring INDvsPAK match EVER. Too one-sided. Pakistan is nowhere near this India team. This is not the greatest rivalry ever. Their previous teams were much better & put up close fights and great games. This team wouldn’t beat most of our IPL teams.”
Vivek Oberoi highlighted standout performances, saying, “Ye mauka bhi...gaya (This chance was also lost). Absolute mammoth 77 off 40 balls by Ishan Kishan and kicks early wickets by Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. My ears are ringing from my own screaming throughout the match! More and more power to our men in Blue! IndvsPak.”
Other celebrities joined in the celebrations. Arjun Rampal wrote, “Done and dusted. What a fabulous performance to enter the Super 8s, congratulations men in blue, we love you. Special shout out to Ishan Kishan harharmahadev happy mahashivratri2025 t20worldcup2026,” while Anupam Kher posted, “Har Har Mahadev! Hail Bholenath. INDvsPAK.”
With this emphatic win, India advances to the Super 8s stage of the T20 World Cup, cementing their dominance over Pakistan with a head-to-head tally of 8-1.
