'We will have to create our own Google, Facebook, Ali Babas, Tencents: Jayant Sinha

Panaji, Dec 16 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha on Saturday said that there was need to create Googles, Facebook, Ali Babas and Tencents in India if new India was to be built.
Speaking at `India Ideas Conclave 2017′, organised by India Foundation here, he said, 'I fervently believe that if we are going to achieve leadership in the 21st century, if we are going to build a new India of our dreams, we have to build it through innovative, entrepreneurial, large-scale companies. We have to create our own Googles and Facebooks and Ali Babas and Tencents.'
He said IT (Information Technology) and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry had been critical to the growth of Gross Domestic Product of the country but there was need to have five-ten sectors like them.
