"We're ready with 51 pc votes," BJP’s response to Thackeray’s alliance

Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) In the run-up to upcoming local self-government elections in Maharashtra, all political parties have started preparing their strategies, with BJP eyeing to capture the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation at any cost while the Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena is determined not to let the BMC slip from their control in potential alliance with MNS in Mumbai.
In this context, MNS chief Raj Thackeray today held a meeting of office-bearers here and instructed them to start preparations for upcoming elections. He also advised Shiv Sena and MNS workers to forget grievances and avoid disputes.
Now, reacting to Raj Thackeray’s speech, BJP leader and Maharashtra minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule today said, "We have begun preparations for securing 51 percent of the votes. In the Assembly elections too, we received 51.78 percent of the votes. I do not know what preparations Raj Thackeray and his allies have made, but we are ready.
