"Vote-banning" more dangerous than demonetisation or lockdown: Congress

Patna, July 8 (UNI) Describing the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar before Legislative Assembly elections as "vote-banning", Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram today alleged that the process initiated by the Election Commission "at the behest of the BJP" was more "dangerous" than demonetisation and national lockdown.
Ram told reporters here at the Congress state headquarters, Sadaqat Ashram, that the
Election Commission was claiming to finish the revision of 36.47% of voters, yet only 11% have been uploaded online. This discrepancy clearly shows that the Commission was "misleading" the public, especially ahead of the statewide bandh (shutdown) called on July 9, he said.
