‘Today is undoubtedly a historic day’: LG Sinha at Zojila Tunnel breakthrough ceremony

Srinagar, June 9 (UNI) Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday joined union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at the breakthrough ceremony of the strategically significant Zojila Tunnel, describing the occasion as a “historic day” for the union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
“Today is undoubtedly a historic day. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of union Territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh,” Sinha said while addressing the gathering at the project site.
The Lieutenant Governor expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Minister Nitin Gadkari for turning the long-awaited vision into reality, stating that the project would usher in a new era of connectivity, economic growth and development in the region.

Jaipur, Jul 13 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court on Monday dismissed petitions against the "encroachment" demolition drive being carried out by authorities in the border belt of Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar and Bikaner, holding that "the issue of National Security is Supreme (paramount)".
Dismissing the petitions, a Single Bench of Justice Sameer Jain held that normally followed procedural rules of natural justice can be relaxed or dropped to the demands of national security.
