‘The Death of Robin Hood’ trailer: Hugh Jackman plays a battle-worn, broken hero

Los Angeles, Jan 7 (UNI) The trailer of Hugh Jackman’s upcoming film ‘The Death of Robin Hood’ was unveiled. The project is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, according to Variety.
Described as a darker reimagining of the classic legend, the film presents a radically different take on Robin Hood. As per the official logline, the story follows the iconic outlaw as he grapples with his violent past after a life marked by crime and murder.
Unlike earlier portrayals, Jackman’s Robin Hood is depicted as a battle-worn loner who is gravely injured and left in the care of a mysterious woman, who offers him a chance at redemption.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast, including Jodie Comer (Killing Eve, 28 Years Later), Bill Skarsgård (Nosferatu, It), Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Honey Boy), and Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, Welcome to Chippendales).
Sarnoski, who previously directed the critically acclaimed Pig (2021) and A Quiet Place: Day One (2024), also serves as a writer on the project. Production for The Death of Robin Hood took place in Northern Ireland.
Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are producing the film under their Ryder Picture Company banner, alongside Alexander Black for Lyrical Media.
Lyrical Media’s Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers executive produce, along with Rama Gottumukkala, Michael Sarnoski, and Hugh Jackman. The film is fully financed by Lyrical Media.
