‘Telangana march’ against Waqf Act in Hyderabad on May 24

Hyderabad, May 19 (UNI) The Muslim Joint Action Committee (JAC) has announced a 'Telangana March' to be held at Charminar in the Old City on May 24, in protest against the Waqf Amendment Act 2025.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Hyderabad on Monday by JAC convener and Tahreek Muslim Shabbir president Mohammed Mushtaq Malik. Leaders from several prominent Muslim organisations, including Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jamiatul Ulema, Jamiat-e-Ahle Hadees, Kul Hind Majlis-e-Tameer-e-Millat, and other religious, social, and political groups, were also present.

State not to ban Roman script for Kokborok language: Tripura CM
