'PM Modi insulted Sonam Wangchuk in arrogance': Kejriwal slams Centre over protest action

New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal today launched a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi-led government after social and education activist Sonam Wangchuk was removed from the venue of his indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar and shifted to a hospital by Delhi Police, accusing the Prime Minister of acting out of "arrogance" and suppressing a peaceful youth movement demanding education reforms.
Expressing solidarity with Wangchuk, Kejriwal alleged that the Centre had chosen to crush protests against alleged examination irregularities instead of addressing concerns over paper leaks and reforms in the education system. He appealed to people across the country to join the agitation at Jantar Mantar, saying only a united public movement could compel the government to act.
In a video message, Kejriwal claimed Wangchuk was forcibly removed from the protest site in the early hours of Saturday and that authorities attempted to end his hunger strike against his will.
