‘O’ Romeo’ box office: Rs 8.5 crore on Day 1, total Rs 30.15 crore over weekend

New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) Vishal Bhardwaj’s romantic thriller ‘O’ Romeo’, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, wrapped up a decent opening weekend at the box office, collecting a total of Rs 30.15 crore nett in its first three days, according to trade website Sacnilk.
The film opened to Rs 8.5 crore nett on Friday, followed by a strong Saturday showing of Rs 12.65 crore, and a slightly lower Rs 9 crore on Sunday. Despite the minor dip on Sunday, the weekend performance remains solid, making it Shahid Kapoor’s biggest post-pandemic opener to date.
His previous highest opener, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ (2024), had collected Rs 6.7 crore nett on its first day and Rs 27.1 crore nett over its opening weekend.
Based on Hussain Zaidi’s bestselling book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, ‘O’ Romeo’ features a stellar ensemble cast, including Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia, among others.
While critics have offered mixed reviews, audiences have largely responded positively, with word-of-mouth contributing to the steady box office run. The real test for the film will begin on Monday, as weekday collections will determine whether ‘O’ Romeo’ can maintain its momentum beyond the opening weekend.
