‘Game-Changer’ Mudh-Nyoma Airbase boosts India’s air power along China border

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) After Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh successfully landed a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft on the newly built Mudh runway, the Indian Air Force (IAF) formally opened the strategically important Mudh-Nyoma airbase in eastern Ladakh.
Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Air Command, accompanied him on the historic flight on Wednesday.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called the airbase, which is 13,700 feet above sea level and only 25 kilometres from China's Line of Actual Control (LAC), a "game-changer."
