'Evil eye will be met with force': Navy chief issues fresh warning to adversaries

New Delhi, December 7 (UNI) Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi on Sunday said that although Operation Sindoor has been temporarily halted, it continues to remain active, warning that any attempt to target India will be met with a strong and decisive response. He made the remarks while attending the Armed Forces Flag Day Function in the national capital.
"Although Operation Sindoor has been halted, it is not over yet. You are also aware of the actions taken by the Indian government at that time... I realise that the citizens of this country are proud of the Armed Forces... If anyone tries to cast an evil eye on us, we will give them a befitting reply - we proved this during Operation Sindoor and we will prove it in the future too...," the Navy Chief said.
The remarks came days after Tripathi had stressed that the Indian Navy's proactive posture, supported by the presence of frontline ships, during Operation Sindoor had prevented Pakistan from venturing out, keeping its fleet docked. "The aggressive posturing and immediate action during Op Sindoor, of deployment of the carrier battle group forced the Pakistan Navy to remain close to their ports or near the Makran coast. The operation remains ongoing and therefore many details cannot be disclosed publicly," he said during a media interaction prior to Navy Day.
