'Conflict entrepreneurs' turned the blood of innocents into biggest business in J&K: LG

Srinagar, Apr 19 (UNI) Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said 'conflict entrepreneurs' in Jammu and Kashmir turned the blood of innocents into a biggest business.

He said that conflict entrepreneurs and terrorists had had built a vast ecosystem which has been dismantled to a large extent.
Speaking at a Sufi Conference in Srinagar, Sinha said, "Terrorists and conflict entrepreneurs had built a vast ecosystem, but over the past 4–5 years, with the support of the common people, security forces, and administration, we have been able to dismantle much of it."

While acknowledging the progress made, the LG cautioned that some conflict entrepreneurs are still trying to revive this ecosystem.
"I want to assert that no such individuals will be allowed to operate," he said, adding that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have begun to see through these conspiracies.

Sinha urged collective action to ensure that there is no space left for such forces in society, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to lasting peace and stability in the region.
The Lieutenant Governor also urged Sufi scholars and youth influencers to play an active role in popularising Sufi teachings among the younger generation, calling it a vital step in countering extremist ideologies in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said Sufi teachings is a counterforce to extremist ideology.

“Sufism means a way of life. It is a bond of love with the whole and a loving relationship with God.
Sufism is ultimate art of removing divisions & bringing hearts closer,” he said.

Sinha said that Sufism emphasises inner purification, love, and deep relationship with the divine.

“Its ultimate aim is to foster the awakening in the society and promote compassion and interconnectedness. The journey on this path has the potential to unite people across backgrounds,” he said.

The LG asserted that Sufi teachings completely reject any kind of violence and discrimination.

“Sufi teaching is a counterforce to extremist ideology and its mystical traditions through poetry, music and other creative expressions will strengthen counter-radicalisation efforts,” he added.
