'Anarchy' and 'arrogance' of AAPda have been defeated: PM Modi on BJP victory in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday termed the victory of BJP in Delhi Assembly election as "historic" and said today's mandate made it clear that there is no place for "shortcuts, lies and deceit in politics".
Addressing the party workers at BJP headquarters here, the Prime Minister said the people of Delhi have thrown out AAP-Da.
"The mandate of Delhi is quite clear! Today, in Delhi, development, vision and trust have won. Today, anarchy and arrogance and AAPda have been defeated", he said.
In a stern message, Modi said the BJP government will table the CAG report in the first assembly session.
"I assure you that the CAG report will be tabled in the house during the first session of the Assembly. Those involved in corruption will not be let off, and the looted money will be recovered".

Attacking Kejriwal, he said, "Today the people of National Capital have made it clear that the real owners of Delhi are themselves only.
Those who were proud of being the owners of Delhi have faced the truth".
Bharatiya Janata Party defeated the Aam Aadmi Party in the assembly election after 27 years.
According to the Election Commission of India, BJP won 47 seats and leading in one seat while AAP was restricted to 22. The Congress has not won a single seat in the election.
The PM noted that Delhiites has removed a major obstacle in the way of Delhi's development.
"The politics of protests, confrontation and administrative uncertainty in Delhi has caused a lot of harm to the people," he added.
Speaking about the development undertaken by the NDA, the Prime Minister said, "Every NDA candidate and every public representative works in the interest of the people.Wherever NDA has received the mandate in the country, we have taken that state to new heights of development".
Modi also assured that in the coming time, a lot of work will be done on mobility and infrastructure in this entire region.
The youth of this region will also get new opportunities for progress.
"I believe that urbanisation is an opportunity. It's a medium to empower the poor and marginalized. Delhi is a gateway of the country, and therefore it should have the best urban infrastructure".
On cleaning the Yamuna river, he said, I have pledged during the election campaign that we will make Yamuna the identity of Delhi city.
"I know that this work is difficult and will take a long time. No matter how much time it takes, no matter how much energy it takes. We will make every effort to serve mother Yamuna, we will work with full devotion" the PM said.
Attacking the Arvind Kejriwal-led party which ruled Delhi for over 10 years, Modi said AAP stopped the expansion of Delhi Metro and stalled the central government's Ayushman Bharat scheme.
"What kind of politics must it have been, what kind of mentality must it have been that these people of 'AAPda' stopped the expansion of metros, didn't let those staying in shanties get permanent homes, didn't allow the people of Delhi to be eligible for medical insurance under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
That is why voters have chosen our double-engine government," he said.
The Prime Minister assured that the BJP government will provide good governance to Delhi.
"I thank the people of Delhi. Delhi has given us love wholeheartedly, and I once again assure the people that we will return you double the love in the form of development," Modi said.
