‘120 Bahadur’ team unveils special ‘My Stamp’ honouring Rezang La heroes

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) The makers of the upcoming war epic '120 Bahadur' have unveiled a special ‘My Stamp’ to pay tribute to the extraordinary bravery of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army, who heroically fought in the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China War.
The commemorative stamp was launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi, in the presence of Jitendra Gupta (Director General, Postal Services), director Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, and the film’s team, including Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Amit Chandrra, and Arhan Bagati.
Issued by the Department of Posts, the customised stamp honours the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers ahead of the 63rd anniversary of the historic battle.
Actor Farhan Akhtar, who stars as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the Param Vir Chakra awardee who led the 13 Kumaon Regiment at Rezang La, shared images from the event on Instagram.
“What better way to honour the bravery and sacrifice of our martyred soldiers. The Indian Postal Service commemorated the Battle of Rezang La by issuing a new MyStamp in its memory,” he wrote.
He added, “Thank you to the Hon’ble Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh ji, for making time to inaugurate the stamp. We are extremely grateful.”
The ‘My Stamp’ initiative celebrates the indomitable courage and spirit of the Indian soldiers whose valour at Rezang La remains etched in history. The Rezang La War Memorial, located in Chushul, Ladakh, stands as a testament to their heroism and sacrifice.
Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment) alongside Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios), 120 Bahadur is set to release in cinemas on November 21.
