UP becomes largest ethanol-producing state in the country

Lucknow, Jul 24 (UNI) Making yet another record, Uttar Pradesh has become the largest ethanol-producing state in the country. A total of 58 crore liters of ethanol was produced by 54 distilleries established across UP.

According to the figures released by the UP Government on Saturday, the state has manufactured 58 crore litres of ethanol, a solvent that is essentially mixed with petrol for environmental purposes, in the year 2020-21.
