UGC recognises Bihar Sports University

Patna, Jan 11 (UNI) The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognised Bihar Sports University, Rajgir for initiating academic courses.
The registrar of the university said here on Saturday that with the recognition , the University is empowered to start academic courses including Undergraduate and other Diploma PG Diploma courses in Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
According to the Registrar, the University intends to start Diploma Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Sports Coaching in two or three Games, Diploma / Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga and 4-years Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.), subject to recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) academic programmes from academic session 2025- 26.
