TSIIC develops 27,000 acres land for industrial purposes in last four years: Narsimha Reddy

Hyderabad, Oct 8 (UNI) Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) Vice-Chairman and Managing Director EV Narsimha Reddy on Thursday stated that the Corporation has developed about 27,000 acres for industrial purposes in the last four years and attracting 13 lakh crore investments.
Addressing at an open House meet organized virtually by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) here, Reddy said the corporation has allotted lands to 1750 new units in 2000 acres and another 15,000 more acres are in the process of development.
Appreciating the key role played by FTCCI in industrial growth and development of the state, he also mentioned the contribution of a few major industrial parks such as Jeedimetla, Cherlapally.
Electronic manufacturing cluster is the largest cluster located in Telangana with 100 acres and already 25 new units have come up generating employment to 5000 people, the Vice-Chairman informed.
Skill development is an important aspect for rural development and TASK has trained about 1.5 lakh people imparting skills required by the industries, he stated about the 12 industrial parks are sanctioned to the state by the Government of India.
Explaining about Local employment incentive, he said that if industry provides 70 per cent of the employment to the local people, they are eligible for more incentive under T-IDEA Scheme.
The Government of India has sanctioned three industrial corridors in collaboration with state governments (Delhi – Mumbai, Chennai – Bengaluru, Hyderabad – Bengaluru), he stated that in coming 2-3 years there will be a sea change, where more new industrial areas will be opened.
For a query on the land allotment in Pharma city, he replied that it would start by the end of 2020.
FTCCI President Ramankanth Inani, said Industrial progress of the state mainly depends on the infrastructure availability and TSIIC is playing a major role in providing Industrial Infrastructure and contributing to the development of the State.
Congratulating TSIIC for developing 104 Industrial Area Local Authority (IALAs) and 154 Industrial parks, he said and suggested TSIIC establish one industrial park in every district for regional development.
FTCCI Chair (Industrial Development Committee) Srinivas Garimella said TSIIC stands as a foremost nodal agency in the development of industrial and related infrastructure.
An extent of 1,50,000 acres in the state identified as fit for industrial use has been transferred to TSIIC and with this huge land base, we are confident that Telangana State has the potential to become the industrially most developed state in the country, he expressed.
