Tripura Sports Minister inaugurated football tournament in sub-division

Ambassa (Tripura), Jun 10 (UNI) Tripura Minister for Sports Manoj Kanti Deb has kicked off a football tournament organised by a local club where Minister Santana Chakma has hailed the effort in the bordering sub-division of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here this afternoon.
In the rain lashed inaugural session, the sports minister has remarked, "Our government is just in the initiative stage and we have been planning measures to promote actual talents without any political identity. But the effort of the government only is not enough in this regard as in the leftist regime youths have been made detached from the sports arena."
"Now we are promoting talents and also making infrastructure better and in this situation, the effort of the Friends' Club as they have arranged for the tournament is praiseworthy". minister Santana Chakma in her short speech has hailed the organiser and has called on others for coming forward.
In this tournament, in total 10 teams have participated. The champion team will have Rs 50,000 and the runners team will have Rs 25,000 as prize amount along with spectacular trophies.
