New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Trinamool Congress member Saugata Roy on Thursday raised the issue of worsening economic situation of the country and urged the government to pay attention to it.
Speaking during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Mr Roy said the GDP growth is at a 15-year low, unemployment is at a 45-year high, household consumption is at a four-decade low, bad loans in banks are at an all-time high and growth in electricity generation is at a 15-year low.
He alleged that the Prime Minister was showing cavalier attitude towards the problem and urged that the government pay attention to the problem.
