Chennai, Jan 19 (UNI) Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today said
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami working in fields
as a farmer would never forget his roots and inspire the people of the
State.
Mr Naidu tweeted 'Pleased to see Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu,
Shri Edappadi K Palaniswami working in fields as a farmer, who
will never forget his roots.'
'It may be symbolic, but it inspires people. Everyone should focus
on making agriculture profitable and sustainable. This is the need
of hour', he added, after visiting the Central Institute of Classical
Tamil Research here this evening and also the International
Institute of Tamil Studies.
On his arrival at the airport, Mr Naidu was received by Ministers
D Jayakumar, K Pandiarajan and P Benjamin.
Mr Naidu also said 'On this day, let's also thank thousands of
Pulse Polio workers who toiled tirelessly for years to make India
a polio-free nation. Let's pledge to ensure no child's life will be
crippled by polio again'.
