Three held with 265 gm MD drug in Nashik

Nashik, May 16 (UNI) The city Crime Branch arrested three men and
seized total 265 gram banned Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA)
drugs from them at Pathari Phata on Mumbai-Agra national highway in
wee hours of Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a Crime Branch unit-1 team laid a trap near
Pathardi Phata on Mumbai-Agra highway and tried to stop a sports
utility vehicle, but the driver fled towards the Pathardi village,
police said.
However, police team chased the vehicle and took three men into
custody.
During inquiry of three men, police have seized total 265 gram of MD
drugs, four mobile phones and the SUV used for transportation, all
collectively worth Rs 15.76 lakh, from the trio.
Police arrested the alleged accused -- Ranjit Govindrao More (32,
resident of Pathardi phata), Pankaj Bhausaheb Dunde (31, of
Vrindavan Nagar, Adgaon Shivar) and Nitin Baskar Malode (32).

The Crime Branch is conducting the probe to find out who had ordered
the MD drugs.
The Indira Nagar police has filed a case against the trio in this
regard, sources added.
