New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Thursday said floods in the southern part of West Bengal are "man-made," as claimed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, is a "misconception".
Shekhawat said this, while replying to a question over the floods in southern West Bengal, raised by Congress Leader in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury during the Question Hour in the Lok Sabha.
Chowdhury said districts like Midnapore, Bankura, Purulia, Hubli and Howrah were ravaged by floods, adding that the Chief Minister has called them "man-made floods".
